Something Must Die

I believe that for something to be born, something must die. In my case, it was my blog. Life In The Second Half had to die in order for The Evolving Human to be born. Of course, that was not my intention when I deleted my first blog. It was more to get out of the way of a hacker, but maybe the time was ripe, and the reason came along. I was having a hard time ending Life, leaving behind my readers, not knowing how I wanted to fill that space in my life. But I was also having thoughts of murder - of my blog that is - and the hacker gave me an excuse to move on and move on quickly. I knew it was time to evolve my writing, to take more time to think things through, to write in greater depth than three paragraphs, several times a week.

Many theorists are now saying that is what is happening in our world. That we are going through a planetary birthing. The earth is now moving north of the galatic plane of our galaxy. We know that when we were here before, life on earth had cataclysmic changes. But could this time be different? Could we actually be going through a birthing of sorts for our universe? Or is that just wishful thinking from an ego-centric group of beings that cannot fathom the end to their species. My husband postulates that if anyone is to be saved, it could be the whale - which actually is much move evolved than we are. It has a bigger brain and is able to survive a much harsher environment than us fragile humans. That is the biologist in him.

The two movies on my sidebar, Humanity Ascending and Visions, featuring Barbara Marx Hubbard, follow the journey of mankind from the Big Bang to where we are now. Her theory is that we are evolving into an ever-higher order of complexity and synergy. That this is a natural tendency of systems in crises. She is an amazing woman, over eighty years old and still vibrant. In fact, she says she is feeling younger than ever. Could purpose be better than botox? Okay we know the answer to that one, never mind.

One of many interesting thoughts to come from this movie was that if we had a camera in the womb before birth we would think the baby was dying just before it enters the world. It has outgrown its home, systems are shutting down, the baby is in crises. Then a light appears in the horizon, chaos ensues, and then the baby is born into the new.

We may very well be the baby.

Here is my Hicks quote for today - could it be more appropriate?

Some things you're not letting happen right now because the timing isn't perfect for you. Some you're not letting happen because you are very aware of where you are. But all things, as they are happening, are happening in perfect order. And if you will relax and begin saying, "Everything in its perfect time. Everything is unfolding. And I'm enjoying where I am now, in relationship to where I'm going. Content where I am, and eager for more," that is the perfect vibrational stance.

  3. Nancy, it reminds me of the chick in the egg....the gases in there become so toxic to the chick , so it pecks it's way out in order to be 'Born' and survive.

  4. Trish - I know! Just what I've been saying - the time is just not here yet. But I feel as though I am making progress.

leilani - I am so glad you did! LOL! - I'm in the process of telling people that I think would be interested in this blog - I would have got to you eventually, but I am glad you're here!

    Natalie - Great analogy!

  5. Yayy! Welcome back, Nancy. I love the birthing analogy, and now I'm wondering about whether you will change your style to accommodate your new look. I will always follow you, and thanks for the perfect quote to start my day. :-)

  7. DJan - So nice to see you here! There will be some changes. I have felt for some time that my writing needed to evolve, plus I have been studying rather intensely for some time. I need to focus on that for now, and this blog will reflect that.

Jayne - I know exactly what you are saying. That's the reason for this new blog. I feel the same way. People that want to discuss these issues will be drawn here, but the others that are not interested will be on to other blogs and ideas. It's all energy.

  8. A week or so ago I was very heartened to read the news that the Japanese ships were leaving the waters of the southern ocean where they've been 'researching' whales for nearly three decades. The Sea Shepherd crews had a lot to do with the decision but I couldn't help but note that many of the Japanese people have stopped eating whale meat. There may indeed be a global consciousness raising going on and it's more than past due.

  9. Susan - I head the same thing. I didn't know why - now I understand. They just didn't have enough gain for the pain. Yay! My husband is obsessed with whales, so he will be thrilled to know this.
